Discovery Wood Shop

Students will gain knowledge and skills in working safely and efficiently with hand tools and power tools. In addition, they will be introduced to different types of wood and their uses, the industrial woodworking environment, and the technology in use today.

What do you learn in woodshop? Woodworking classes typically focus on how to select wood for projects, how to use common tools, and different techniques for shaping and joining wood. Courses also emphasize safety so that students can avoid injuries. Your instructor will provide many woodworking tips as you learn.
