Chromebook Collection
Overview
Students must return both their D11 Chromebook and Dell charger. We cannot accept any third-party chargers per D11 guidelines. If a Chromebook is returned without a charger, your student will be assessed a $40 replacement fee.
During Chromebook collection, each device will be inspected for damage. Typical charges include $40 for a cracked screen. Other repair costs can be found here. The D11 IT team will assess the repair costs, and an additional repair fee will be added to your student’s account. Any Chromebooks not returned to the school by May 27th will be marked “Lost” and a fee of $243 will be added to your student's account. The fee will remain on the account until the device is returned or the fee has been paid.
If your student has a fee for fixing a damaged Chromebook or a missing library resource, you can pay with cash or a check in the Sabin Business Office with Mrs Russom or online via My School Bucks. Notices will be sent out via the loop in May. Another notice of missing Chromebooks and resources as well as repair costs will be sent out in August to families.
